Hi, I’m Monica West (she/her), a writer and actor living in Chicago with my husband, in-laws, and young son. I recently received my MFA in Writing from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and regularly collaborate with the Goodman Theatre on new works.

This September, my play NINA | VIOLETTA will be presented at Lookingglass Theatre Company and Milwaukee Opera Theatre.

When I’m not working, I’m usually cooking something up in the kitchen with a lot of butter.
